NWSL Moves & Legends

  • Good news for San Diego Wave, they have hired a new coach Jonas Eidevall. He used to be the manager for the Arsenal and seems to be excited for the new role. Hopefully, leading to San Diego Wave a winning season after they failed to make it to the playoffs in 2024.

  • Bad news for San Diego Wave, Jaedyn Shaw has been traded to NC Courage for a 2 year deal. In return, San Diego is to receive a large sum of money. This deal might be one of the largest transfers in NWSL history.

  • Orlando Pride has extended Marta’s contract for two new years. Orlando Pride posted a video of a serious Marta sitting in front of the camera. For what looked to be a retirement video, at the end it was a video of her extending contract. They got everyone at the end.

LSU WBB Still Undefeated

The LSU WBB team has been on a roll this season, with multiple starters averaging double-digit points per game and an undefeated record. This past Thursday, the Tigers had to travel to Knoxville, TN, to battle the Lady Vols. Now something to highlight in this match-up is that not only are both of these teams ranked in the top 25 but Tennessee head coach Kim Caldwell has been coaching this season while pregnant. LSU head coach Kim Mulkey joked before the game that she “hoped that the game gets so exciting, I’ll (Mulkey) go down and help deliver it.”. Well, Kim Mulkey was right about the game being exciting, the game was a back-and-forth game that came down to the wire. It was a tied game, 87-87, with 8.5 seconds left in the fourth quarter with the ball in junior guard Kailyn Gilbert’s hands, she took a few dribbles to set up her defender and, with her speed, blew past her defender to lay in the game-winner. She ended the game with 22 points and helped LSU to move to 17-0.
